Aluminum Anode for Cylindrical Heat Treatment
This aluminum anode ball is a compact easily replaced sacrificial anode which is installed in heat treaters, pressure vessels and other production vessels. The aluminum heater treater anodes work optimally at relatively high temperatures and low chloride saltwater or freshwater environments.
Description
The aluminum heater treater anode serves as a sacrificial anode, providing exceptional corrosion protection across various industries. Its applications include heater treaters, heat exchangers, saltwater storage tanks, oilfield tanks, skimmers, oil-separation vessels, pressure vessels, and production vessels.
This cylindrical aluminum anode, measuring 3 inches in diameter, features a cast design with a 3/4-inch all-thread steel rod core. It is well-suited for structures requiring a compact solution in environments with higher temperatures or lower chloride saltwater conditions.
Designed to be mounted in fiberglass “Red-Cap” or “Blue-Cap,” this cylindrical aluminum anode can be easily installed and replaced using a standard 4-inch (100 mm) schedule 40 or schedule 80 pipe nipple with a grooved coupling.
Quality Substrate Material
Casted from high-voltage and high-potential alloy, our aluminum anode is designed to meet the standard GS EP COR 201, containing nominal amounts of indium, zinc, and silicon. It has a proven track record for delivering superior cathodic protection in highly corrosive saltwater/brines with elevated temperatures.

Two Mounting Head Options
The anode for heat treating applications can be combined with compression-molded fiberglass mount caps (available in blue or red) and connected using lead wires for fast installation. The cap features four integrated ribs for optimal skid resistance, proper alignment, and superior stability during anode flow. The red cap fits into standard 4″ SCH 40 fittings with grooved couplings, while the blue cap is suitable for installation in standard 4″ SCH 80 fittings using grooved Victaulic® couplings.
