Description

Magnesium hull anodes are widely applied to safeguard steel hull service boats in freshwater environments like river, canal, and cruising boats against corrosion. They effectively combat corrosion issues arising from stray current or pollution. Our magnesium hull anodes, featuring cast-in galvanized steel straps, are versatile for both bolted and welded installations onto submerged structures.

Quality Substrate Material
Our magnesium hull anode is crafted from premium-grade magnesium alloy and complies with the American standard ASTM B843 – AZ63C.

Element Content
Aluminum (Al) 5.3% – 6.7%
Manganese (Mn) 0.15% – 0.7%
Zinc (Zn) 2.5% – 3.5%
Silicon (Si) 0.1% max.
Copper (Cu) 0.02% max.
Iron (Fe) 0.03% max.
Nickel (Ni) 0.02% max.

Custom-made Electro-potential Options
Typically, we use the H-1 alloy for pressure die-casting our magnesium hull anode, achieving a standard potential of -1.55 volts relative to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE). We also offer high potential magnesium anodes upon request.

Technical Measurement Performance
Open Circuit Potential (-V) 1.5 ~ 1.55
Close Circuit Potential (-V) 1.45 ~ 1.5
Min. Current Capacity 550 A.h/lbs (1230 A.h/kg)
Current Efficiency 55% min.

Optional Plastisol Coating
Our magnesium hull anode comes in options of bare or plastisol coating. The plastisol (polyvinyl chloride) shield, applied to the sides, ends, and faying surfaces, effectively blocks currents and can be trimmed to regulate surface area contact and current output as required.

Strict Quality Control
Our magnesium hull anode undergoes rigorous manufacturing, inspection, and testing procedures to ensure superior quality, adhering to ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Customized Configurations
Please note that weights and dimensions may vary due to natural fluctuations in material densities. While standard magnesium anodes are shown above, we also offer tailor-made configurations upon request.
