Streamlined Tubular Stand-Off Aluminum Anode

Cow Horn Tubular Stand-Off Aluminum Anode provides reliable cathodic protection for inshore and marine structures. Its trapezoidal cross-section, along with a bending tube insert, ensures a durable and efficient connection. With anode utilization reaching 85-90%, it’s ideal for offshore platforms, drilling rigs, wind farms, and more.

Description

This streamlined stand-off aluminum anode features a trapezoidal cross-section and is mounted on a curved tube insert. The cow horn tubular insert extends from both ends and can be directly welded to the surface of protected steel structures, ensuring a secure connection.

Due to its stand-off design, the aluminum anode doesn’t come into direct contact with the protected surface, enhancing its longevity with an anode utilization factor of up to 85-90%.

Primarily used for cathodic protection in marine environments, including offshore platforms, drilling rigs, harbor infrastructure, wind farms, and marine engineering structures like sheet piles and reclamation piles.

Quality Substrate Material
Manufactured using high-purity alloys with low iron content, our streamlined stand-off anode conforms to ISO, NACE, and DNV standards without compromise in quality.

Low Driving Voltage
The stand-off aluminum anode delivers consistent performance in seawater and electrolytes with chloride ions due to its controlled operating potential ranging from -1.05 to -1.10 volts compared to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE).

Technical Measurement Performance
Open Circuit Voltage (-V) 1.10 min.
Closed Circuit Voltage (-V) 1.05 min.
Current Capacity 1135 A.h/lbs (2500 A.h/kg)
Current Efficiency 90% min.
Consumption Rate 7.6 lbs/A·y (3.4 kg/A·y)

Much Lighter in Weight
The stand-off aluminum anode boasts a lower density compared to zinc, resulting in a lighter and more manageable fitting process.

Customized Configurations
The slender stand-off anodes are categorized into Short and Long based on their length-to-width ratio. Standard stand-off anodes are displayed below, with customized options available upon request.

Testing

To guarantee the best durability and performance of our anodes, we adhere to ISO 9001:2015 quality management standards and conduct thorough internal testing. Each anode is assigned a unique serial number for quality monitoring purposes.
