Aluminum Tank Anode With Bent Rod Insert

Aluminum Tank Anode: Protects ship’s ballast tanks from galvanic corrosion in seawater. Ideal for new or replacement use in vessel tanks.

Description

The ship’s ballast water tank is often affected by galvanic corrosion, particularly its internal steel structure submerged in seawater. To prevent corrosion in the ballast tank, especially when coatings are damaged or fail, sacrificial anodes are crucial.

This double cranked rod core aluminum tank anode is widely used in cathodic protection for ship tank systems. It’s ideal for new vessels or as replacements in older ones.

Quality Substrate Material
Manufactured with low-iron, high-purity alloys, our aluminum tank anode is engineered to comply with the GS EP COR 201 standard.

Low Driving Voltage
This aluminum tank anode maintains stable performance in seawater and chloride-rich electrolytes with an operating potential range of -1.05 to -1.10 volts relative to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE).

Technical Measurement Performance
Open Circuit Voltage (-V) 1.10 min.
Closed Circuit Voltage (-V) 1.05 min.
Current Capacity 1135 A.h/lbs (2500 A.h/kg)
Current Efficiency 90% min.
Consumption Rate 7.6 lbs/A·y (3.4 kg/A·y)

Much Lighter in Weight
The aluminum tank anode’s lower density compared to zinc makes it lighter and more manageable during installation.

Strict Quality Control
Our aluminum tank anode undergoes rigorous manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes to meet the standards set by ISO 9001:2015, ensuring top-notch quality.
