Aluminum Tank Anode With Crancked Rod Insert

Protect your ship’s ballast water tank from galvanic corrosion with our aluminum tank anode. Designed with a double cranked rod core, it provides effective cathodic protection for both new and old vessels, ensuring durability and longevity for your marine structures.

Description

Galvanic corrosion poses a significant challenge for ship ballast water tanks, particularly affecting their internal steel structures immersed in seawater. When coatings deteriorate or break down, the most effective method of preventing corrosion is through the use of sacrificial anodes.

One of the most commonly employed anode types for cathodic protection in vessel tanks is the aluminum tank anode with a double cranked rod core. This type of anode is suitable for both new vessels and for replacing existing anodes in older vessels, offering robust protection against corrosion in the harsh marine environment.

Low Driving Voltage

This aluminum tank anode exhibits consistent performance in seawater and electrolytes with chloride ions due to its low driving voltage, maintaining an operating potential range of -1.05 to -1.10 volts compared to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE).

Technical Measurement Performance
Open Circuit Voltage (-V) 1.10 min.
Closed Circuit Voltage (-V) 1.05 min.
Current Capacity 1135 A.h/lbs (2500 A.h/kg)
Current Efficiency 90% min.
Consumption Rate 7.6 lbs/A·y (3.4 kg/A·y)

Much Lighter in Weight

The aluminum tank anode has a lower density compared to zinc, resulting in a lighter weight and making it easier to handle during installation.

Strict Quality Control

Our aluminum tank anode is crafted in compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards, undergoing meticulous manufacturing, inspection, and testing processes to guarantee exceptional quality.
