Streamlined Cranked-Insert Stand-Off Aluminum Anode
Stand-off aluminum anode with trapezoidal cross-section, welded to protect steel structures in marine environments, ensuring reliable long-term cathodic protection.
Description
The slim stand-off aluminum anode with a trapezoidal cross-section is cast on a bent galvanized steel flat bar insert. The integrated steel core extending from the rear can be welded directly to the surface of the protected steel structure, ensuring a secure connection.
Because the stand-off aluminum anode extends beyond the installed surface, the anode material does not directly touch the protected surface. This design enhances the anode’s effectiveness over time, with an anode utilization factor of up to 85 to 90%.
It finds application in safeguarding inshore structures and marine facilities such as offshore platform jackets, drilling rigs, harbor walls, jetties, wind farms, and various types of marine construction like reclamation piles and sheet piles.
Quality Substrate Material
Manufactured using high-purity alloys with low iron content, our slim stand-off anode conforms to ISO, NACE, and DNV standards.

Low Driving Voltage
This stand-off aluminum anode delivers consistent performance in seawater and electrolytes with chloride ions due to its operating potential maintained within the range of -1.05 to -1.10 volts compared to the saturated calomel electrode (SCE).
Technical Measurement | Performance |
---|---|
Open Circuit Voltage (-V) | 1.10 min. |
Closed Circuit Voltage (-V) | 1.05 min. |
Current Capacity | 1135 A.h/lbs (2500 A.h/kg) |
Current Efficiency | 90% min. |
Consumption Rate | 7.6 lbs/A·y (3.4 kg/A·y) |
Much Lighter in Weight
The aluminum stand-off anode has a lower density compared to zinc, which results in it being lighter and more manageable during installation.
Customized Configurations
The slim stand-off anodes are categorized into Short and Long based on their length-to-width ratio. The following displays a selection of standard stand-off anodes, with options for customized configurations available upon request.
